The eight villages that together make up Heuvelland – De Klijte, Dranouter, Kemmel, Loker, Westouter, Wijtschate, Wulvergem and Nieuwkerke – lie in the outermost southern tip of West Flanders. The typical hilly character of the area makes Heuvelland a place of intense natural beauty. It is a succession of magnificent panoramic views, wooded slopes, nature reserves and broad farmlands. Small wonder it’s so calming to come here.

Heuvelland offers a variety of possibilities and surprising extras. Whether you’re the athletic type who wants to conquer one of our ‘mountains’, or you’re interested in the war past, or you’re passionate about folk, or you’re an aficionado of authentic tastes and dishes or you just want to relax in a green environment: you’ll find it all in Heuvelland with enough to go around.
